How to see the secret treasures of Westminster Abbey

Whether you’re a long-time resident or a first-time visitor, the newly-opened Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries at Westminster Abbey are a must-see. Literally. There is no photography allowed in this newly-opened space high above the Abbey (although the press was allowed to take some pics, so you can get a peek at the new space online). If you want to see it in full, you have to go in person. Which you should definitely do. It’s a magical space, and a transforming experience.

There are many fine places to spend the July 4th holiday in America. But perhaps none better than the island of Martha’s Vineyard, in Edgartown, Massachusetts. Colonial-era homes, chic boutiques, a stunning harbor, and excellent food and drink. Add some sun, a fresh ocean breeze, a favorite travel companion or two, and you’ve got the recipe for a perfect Independence Day celebration. And if you visit any other time during the summer, just about everything we list here will apply equally well.

In our recent travels, we’ve been lucky enough to spend some time exploring London. One of our greatest joys has been experiencing the incredible art in the city. The Tate Modern and the V&A are fabulous experiences, even if you have only a couple of hours to spend walking through their hallowed halls.
