Looking for a luxury gift for someone who loves pink? Our correspondent Jillian Tangen has curated a luxury gift guide of the best presents for every occasion, for everyone on your list, in chic shades of the color pink.
why have a luxury gift guide all in one color?
Here at Dandelion Chandelier, we’ve created curated lists of all-of-a-color luxury items and experiences for those who love a particular hue – or whose gift recipients do.
Why? Because for starters, it’s an easier way to shop. Your eye can focus on just one shade in the visual cacophony at retail, or you can more easily search for ideas online.
Second, when the presents are open, everything looks great together! What could be better for your Instagram posts? Color-coding is clearly the way to go if you want to look pulled-together for posterity.
Finally, it’s just fun for someone who loves color and shopping (that would be us). ‘Cause why not?
chic shades of pink can make for excellent luxury gifts
From Barbie to Elvis’s iconic 1955 Cadillac to the sea of knitted hats that swarmed the Women’s March, the color pink has worn, dare we say, many hats over the years.
That could be in part to the fact that pink is a color of transition. Not only because it falls somewhere between red and white, but because of how its perception in society has changed over the years.
Once considered a color for boys, pink evolved into a symbol of femininity and tranquility after World War II. Fast forward, and now the color pink is totally badass. Thanks in part to the rise of millennial pink, the hue can be both refined and rebellious. And definitely not just for little girls.
It’s actually hard to find anything unlikable about this color. Pink is universally flattering – we dare you to find a way not to look good in it. If you’re “in the pink,” you’re blooming and thriving – it’s the hue of wellness and well-being. Pink is preppy and fresh – it’s Nantucket reds, headbands and raspberries. It’s elegant but not overly serious – think rosé and pink sparkling wine. Pink can also be naughty, of course. It’s the color of confidence, compassion and love.
So who wouldn’t want to be tickled pick with a gift in the hue of fuchsia, dahlia, blush, magenta, rose, salmon or coral? We’ve found almost 30 chic luxurious gifts in the color pink that are sure to have your recipient flushed with joy.
the best luxury gifts in chic shades of pink
1. Jewelry
In our humble opinion, jewelry is always a good gift idea. Fortunately for pink lovers, there are also a lot of options to choose from. We adore these bold Mignonne Gavigan Rose Gold Madeline Earrings ($225) that will give your recipient pink wings with which to fly. Another great option is the Cartier Love bracelet ($1,210) in 18K pink gold and ceramic, set with 4 diamonds on a bright magenta cord to cement your love. For rings we love Suzanne Kalan’s 18k Rose Gold Rainbow Pink Sapphire Baguettes Ring ($2,400). It’s the perfect combination of edgy and elegant.
2. Fine Watches
For a bold and colorful pink look we like Dior’s La Mini D de Dior Mosaique Watch ($4,100) that features an interchangeable woven band with flecks of fuchsia, together with pastel pink mother-of-pearl face surrounded by diamonds.
For something more subtle, consider Rolex’s Ladies Datejust Oyster-steel Watch ($6,200) with a blush pink face. If you are looking for something more exclusive, try Piaget’s Altiplano watch in pink ($23,100). It’s a limited edition with only 300 having been made. And it looks as delicious as cotton candy.
3. Home Decor
Assouline’s brand new neon pink Ibiza Bohemia Book ($85) would look great on a coffee table or bookshelf. For design enthusiasts, we like the tactile and playful soft Pink Knot Cushion ($116) from Icelandic designer Ragnheiður Ösps Sigurðardóttir, who came up with the pillow while experimenting with efficient ways to make legs for stuffed teddy bears.
You can’t go wrong with a Cashmere Panama Throw Blanket in Hibiscus from Hermes ($3,025) – talk about an accent piece!
Ashish Gupta looks to his Indian roots as inspiration for this pink Let Me Steal Your Heart blanket ($944). It’s crafted in the South Asian country using the kantha quilting technique, in which patches of vintage textiles are painstakingly arranged to create geometric shapes. It showcases a short poem in black lettering over a floral-printed background.
Also in home decor, we love the life-like porcelain flowers crafted by Vladimir Kanevsky. There are several new offerings available, many in lovely shades of pink.
4. A statement handbag
We strongly believe that designer bags make perfect luxury gifts – no sizing to worry about. Balenciaga’s B Small Bag ($1,090) in neon pink will brighten any dreary day. For a softer pink look, there is the Cartier C de Cartier Pink Sapphire Bag ($1,620). Or the gorgeous Hermes Garden Party Bag in Rose Azalee ($3,750). Both are subtly sweet and make for perfect arm candy. Santa baby, we’ll take one of each, please!
5. Luxury Accessories
Like a statement bag, accessories are another great gift idea, due to no worries about sizing. Not to mention that they generally come at a slightly lower price point than a statement bag.
If your loved one or friend is always losing their keys, we like this Neon Pink Leather Balenciaga Keychain ($295). The neon leather will make their keys stand out wherever they leave them. Keep them looking through rose-colored glasses with Chloe’s Rosie Sunglasses ($420). Not only do they have beautiful soft pink lenses, they’re heart shaped, too. If those are too daring, keep it simple and timeless with a beautiful blush Classic Small Flap Wallet from Chanel ($900).
6. Beauty and fragrance
From skincare to makeup to fragrance, pink dominates the beauty landscape. Audacious name aside, NARS Orgasam Blush ($30) is a universally flattering shade. Or opt for the ultra-glossy limited edition Christian Louboutin Moona Loubiglittergloss ($85) that will help them shine bright.
If the color pink were a fragrance, we think it would be Louis Vuitton’s Attrape-Rêves ($220). The scent, whose name means “dream catcher,” has notes of bergamot, peony, cocoa flower and Turkish rose; it comes in a clear bottle to emphasize the fragrance’s light pink hue.
7. Footwear
From street style-ready sneakers to statement making heels, pink footwear is always in fashion. Sneakerheads will love the new Nike x Off White Zoom Fly Sneakers ($379) with tulip and racer pink tones throughout.
For a dressier but equally comfortable look, you could also opt for Gucci’s pink leather horse bit loafers ($730) in a soft supple leather. The blush pink tone makes them a great neutral option. If high heels are more their thing, you can’t go wrong with the iconic Manolo Blahnik Hangisi Pumps ($995) in fuschia.
8. Tech Gear
Thanks to the rise of millennial pink, there are plenty of pink options when it comes to tech gear. Help them upgrade their laptop look with a new taffy colored Pink Hard Case Shell for their Macbook ($49+).
If headphones are on your list, we love the barely-there ballet slipper pink of Bang & Olufsen’s Beoplay H8i Headphones ($400). For a truly unique gift that will stand out, consider giving AeroSystem’s AeroBull HD1 Bluetooth Speaker ($4,499). It’s shaped like a sunglass-wearing bulldog in hot pink chrome.
9. Pink 5-Star Luxury Hotels
Where do you go for the ultimate rosy vacation? You could easily spend months just checking in and out of the world’s best pink luxury hotels. Here are 5, just to get the conversation started.
There’s the Pink Palace, aka the Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club in Bermuda. The Beverly Hills Hotel in LA. La Reserve de Beaulieu on the Cote d’Azur, which through the years has played host to Winston Churchill and Pablo Picasso. The Belmond Hotel das Cataratas is the only hotel located inside Iguazu National Park in Brazil. And the Hotel de Russie in Rome, which is not far from the Spanish Steps.
10. Fitness and Outdoor gear
Your yogi will love the soft pretty color of this Stella McCartney x Adidas roll-up foam training mat ($50). This Herschel Supply Co Novel Duffle in Ash Rose and tan ($89.99) is perfect for the gym or a weekend hiking trip. And Helly Hansen’s W Loke Jacket in Azalea Pink ($100) will brighten even the gloomiest outdoor days.
11. Cozy knits
The color pink and cozy luxury knits are made for each other. Here are a few thought-starters on some of the best renditions out there right now. We vote for this Dries van Noten Gradient Knit Turtleneck Sweater ($625). Snow bunnies will love this Moncler flocked grosgrain-trimmed ribbed wool headband ($345). And you cannot go wrong with this minimalist Gucci cashmere jacquard scarf ($510).
Other blush options in knitwear? Everlane’s cashmere crew sweater in Heather Berry ($100). Lingua Franca’s “Speak the Truth” sweater, which is an homage to Sojourner Truth ($380). And this cool-girl Ganni knit beanie ($100).
12. Food and Drink
It wouldn’t be a luxury gift list without food and drink. We’re thinking perhaps a gift of Jacobson Salt Co. pink Himalayan grindng salt ($16.95). A bottle of Laurent-Perrier Cuvee Rose ($75) would get any celebration started off on the right note.
There are so many options for sugar-spun pink treats, we wouldn’t dare to attempt to list them all. If you want a treat that’s elegant and totally grown-up, it would be hard to do better than a box of Charbonnel Et Walker pale pink Marc de Champagne truffles ($28).
