The good news? With lots of new luxury hotels happenings around the world, you’ll have no problem finding someplace new to explore. First, Tuscany’s eco-friendly Sense Experience Resort. Second, the arrival of the gorgeous Riggs Washington DC. Third, the debut of the Virgin Voyages brand and its Scarlet Lady cruise ship.
March also marks the return of the Four Seasons Bangkok. Finally, we’re totally excited about the new andBeyond Ngala Treehouse located in the wild bush of the 36,000-acre Ngala Private Game Reserve.
Okay, we take it back. It’s not going to be all carefree bliss in March. How will we ever decide where to head first?

1. Europe
The Finca Serena boutique retreat, set on a peaceful, rural property is the place to discover the hidden, authentic version of Mallorca. Away from the coastal crowds and the bustle of the city, it’s less than half an hour’s drive from Palma’s Airport.
French-owned design hotel chain Mama Shelter prides itself on offering guests an urban refuge in the heart of the action. Its newest hotel will do just that, rooftop hammocks included. Mama Shelter Luxembourg will be the brand’s 13th hotel, bringing 145 rooms, meeting rooms, a co-working space, bakery and a “Cinemama” to the streets of Kirchberg.
Self proclaimed “lean luxury” brand Ruby Hotels has opened Ruby Lucy near London’s Waterloo station. So what exactly does “lean luxury” mean? The brand says it’s hotels focus on offering a space dedicated to the basics of connectivity, sleeping and freshening up. In a luxury setting, of course.
Bordering the Tyrrhenian Sea, The Sense Experience Resort is an eco-retreat made up of 12,000 acres of natural park and pine forest. Backed onto a private beach in Tuscany’s Maremma region, it offers 112 guest rooms and suites all draped in Italian-designed fabrics and furnishings.
London will welcome a “first of its kind” sleep-centered hotel this month. With the tagline “Your key to calm in the heart of London’s busy Piccadilly,” Zedwell Hotel has been built entirely with sleep and wellness in mind. Rooms are specifically designed to limit anxiety and distractions using innovative soundproofing and a gentle circulation of filtered air.
2. United States
Located in the historic downtown area, the Quirk Hotel Charlottesville features vintage details, art and history as central design elements. Amenities include two restaurants, a rooftop bar and lounge, art gallery and outdoor lawn area – Mar 5
Situated in a classic 1909 building, Lytle Park Hotel will have 106 guest rooms, including 18 two-bedroom suites. The hotel will also feature a central wine and cocktail bar and a fine-dining Italian restaurant. It will be the city’s only four-season rooftop bar with views of Lytle Park, downtown Cincinnati, and the Ohio River – and you know we love a good rooftop bar here at Dandelion Chandelier – Mar 12
Surrounded by rolling hills and lush forest in central New Jersey, the Somerset Hills Hotel in Warren will reopen after a major renovation. The property is inspired by the historic attractions and monuments in the area. The 118-room hotel offers a gastropub, European-style restaurant and expansive outdoor venue – Mar 17
Adding to an already buoyant hotel scene for the U.S. capital is the Riggs Washington DC located in the Penn Quarter. The 181-room hotel brings with it a grand café. And Silver Lyan, a subterranean cocktail bar from internationally-acclaimed bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana. It’s the mixologist’s first American outpost.
Located on the former site of the iconic Antiques Garage flea market and set among antique shops, the Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel features 341 guest rooms and suites. As well as a fine-dining Italian restaurant and two-floor rooftop lounge with one of the highest open-air pools in the city.
3. Asia
Desaru Coast will be One&Only’s first development in Malaysia. Positioned as a lavish destination resort, the property will be spread across a sizable chunk of beachfront land. It will offer 42 suites and 50 private villa residences – Mar 23
Indonesia’s Avani Seminyak Bali Resort offers 20 residence-style accommodations and 16 private pool villas.
The Four Seasons has been absent from the Thai capital for a few years now, but now it’s back with the opening of the Four Seasons Bangkok right along the banks of the Chao Phraya.
4. Middle East and Africa
Kwessi Dunes is located deep in the vast desert wilderness of the NamibRand Nature Reserve. The 10 air-conditioned chalets are composed of canvas stretched on wooden frames and thatched roofs. Each has a separate ‘stargazer’ room, completely open to the sky. Activities in the area include quad biking, scenic drives and walks, hot air ballooning, helicopter flights and day trips to Sossusvlei – perfect for adventure seeking families in need of a last minute spring break idea.
This month, the travel company andBeyond is taking its South African offerings to new heights – literally. The brand is launching the andBeyond Ngala Treehouse, a one-off, completely private accommodation. It’s located in the wild bush of the 36,000-acre Ngala Private Game Reserve, which sits adjacent to Kruger National Park. Don’t mind us while we immediately write that down on our list of must-visit destination hotels.
5. Latin America and Caribbean
The Eclipse at Half Moon in Montego Bay, Jamaica features 57 spacious accommodations, two restaurants, three bars, an infinity-edge pool and private beachfront swimming cove – Mar 1
Located on two white-sand beaches in Tamarind Bay is the new luxury all-inclusive Royalton Grenada Resort & Spa – Mar 1
The first of three identical ships to debut for the Virgin Voyages brand, adults-only Scarlet Lady will feature the line’s “Vitamin Sea” concept, which focuses on passenger wellness, relaxation and fun. The ship will offer 4-, 5- and 7-day Caribbean itineraries out of Miami – Mar 26
