The Philadelphia Museum of Art will open Off the Wall: American Art into Wear which features works of artists from the 1960s and 1970s who were primarily trained as painters and sculptors and used the forms, materials and techniques they learned to create one of a kind works using the body as armature – Nov 10 – May 17

The black tie Guggenheim International Gala will be sponsored this year by Dior and will include a viewing of Artistic License: Six Takes on the Guggenheim Collection – Nov 14

Looking to add a little sparkle to your holiday season looks?  New York City Jewelry Week returns with everyone from world renowned jewelry houses along Madison Avenue, to family-owned workshops on 47th Street, to storied boutiques in SoHo, forward thinking galleries in Tribeca and home grown maker spaces in Brooklyn taking part.  In the event you can’t find anything suitable, you could always rent – Nov 18 – 24

Abu Dhabi Art is a platform for international modern and contemporary art and public programs – Nov 21 – 23

Mark Rothko’s Blue Over Red (1953) is expected to sell for between $25 million and $35 million at Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Sale – Nov 14
