what’s happening in pop culture this november 2019?
The countdown to holiday blockbusters is on this month. There are a slew of new movie arrivals aspiring to be Oscar nominees like The Irishman from Martin Scorcese and The Report starring Adam Driver.
On the small screen there are two new arrivals in the streaming business hoping to compete with Netflix and its season 3 debut of The Crown. Of course, if you are ready to full on celebrate the holidays, you will find a little bit of that too as both A Christmas Carol and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas hit the stage. So get ready to watch, listen and stream on as you try your best not to open December’s advent calendar just yet.

HBO’s next attempt at epic fantasy is this adaptation of the beloved Philip Pullman books. His Dark Materials follows Lyra (Dafne Keen), a girl with special gifts, who sets out to stop a plot to secretly abduct hordes of children. Disney will launch its Disney+ streaming service this month, and it’s kicking it off with The Mandalorian, the first ever live-action Star Wars television series.
