The Chapter Roma in the vibrant and historical Regola neighborhood, has opened on the River Tiber. The building, which dates back to 1880, features contemporary interiors with an industrial-chic vibe courtesy of South African based designer Tristan Du Plessis of Studio A
Hoping to feel like royalty on your next European vacation? Then you have to book a room at Hotel Chateau du Grand-Luce. Just a short 55-minute train ride from central Paris, the property used to be the country home of the Baron Jacques Pineau de Viennay. The Château has been returned to its 18th-century splendor after a careful private restoration under the guidance of the French government

Located in the heart of Madrid in a historical building that was the famous Casa de la Carniceria, is the new Pestana Plaza Mayor. The hotel has two restaurants, in addition to two swimming pools – one is even on the roof, as well as a full service spa and fitness center
The new W Hotel Ibiza is in Santa Eulalia del Río, smack in the centre of the buzzing beachside neighbourhood with easy access to Ibiza’s famous beaches and nightclubs. The hotel has 162 guest rooms and a 4,000-square-foot Away Spa with seven treatment rooms

The 120 room independent Origin Hotel Lexington has opened in Kentucky at The Summit at Fritz Farm
Soaring above Center City in the skyline’s tallest tower, Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center, is opening this month. The hotel is located atop a 60-storey landmark by architect Lord Norman Foster and will have restaurants by Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and James Beard Award-winner Greg Vernickas well as a 57th-floor spa sanctuary, including an infinity pool and fitness centre
Scenic has revealed the appointment of Dame Helen Mirren as the godmother for Scenic Eclipse. The maiden voyage of this ultra-luxury vessel will depart Reykjavik Iceland on a 13-day discovery sailing, ending in Quebec followed by a christening in New York City in September – Aug 15

Just a quick ferry ride from Perth, the eco-glamping resort Discovery Eco Village on Rottnest Island in Western Australia has opened. Rottnest Island is Australia’s no-car beach city and offers experiences such as snorkeling, diving and surfing. The hotel features 83 eco tents that range from luxury glamping to affordable family stays
The Ritz-Carlton Xi’an has opened in one of China’s most historic areas. With a history that spans thousands of years, Xi’an is one of China’s four ancient capitals and the former home to thirteen imperial Chinese dynasties

One of the most highly-anticipated new luxury hotel openings in August is in the Middle East. The new Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa in Abu Dhabi is a luxurious take on a Bedouin village with low-lying sand-hued tones, oriental rugs, traditional lanterns and chandeliers
Originally just a simple tented camp, Namiri Plains has relaunched having undergone a complete revamp. The new Namiri features eight guest suites that come with wooden sundeck, an outdoor bathtub and floor-to-ceiling glass doors overlooking the Serengeti Plains
The eco-friendly Kingfisher Lodge sits overlooking the Gulf of Oman and features 25 stand-alone tents with views of both the Hajar Mountains and an endless sea blending into the sky to the other
Labotessa, a 17th-century congressional church turned lifestyle hotel, will open this month in Cape Town

5. Latin america and Caribbean
Located in what is fondly referred to as one of the happiest countries in the world, W Costa Rica – Reserva Conchal is now open.
Viceroy Los Cabos, a chic oceanfront resort in the heart of San José del Cabo, has news. The property is launching new two, three and five bedroom luxury residences. They’re perfect for multi-family and multi-generational vacations.

The new book Tulum Gypset ($85) features vibrant photography and insider anecdotes about the essence of this bohemian haven – Aug 21
Off-White has dropped a new range of Carry-On Suitcases ($1,030). The hard-case, carry-on roller bags arrive in three colorways: yellow, black, and white. The design boasts Virgil Abloh’s signature “ARROW” design on the front. And quotation mark graphics on the reverse and zipper pulls with the words “FOR TRAVEL” and “PULLER.”
