It’s National Peach Month, and it’s also filled with lots of mouthwatering events to attend. Some of our favorites include the 72nd Maine Lobster Festival, the Copenhagen Cooking & Food Festival, the Vermont Cheesemakers Festival and the always messy but fun La Tomatina just outside Valencia.

Copenhagen Cooking & Food Festival is an annual food and wine festival in August that celebrates the Copenhagen gastro scene and Denmark as a food country. The 10 day festival hosts more than 100 unique events with something to suit all tastes – from intimate dinners with Danish chefs to huge food events with thousands of guests – Aug 23 – Sep 1
La Tomatina, a massive food fight held in the tiny town of Buñol, 25 miles outside Valencia takes place at the end of this month. The festival, which lasts fewer than two hours and involves the hurling and smashing of nearly 180 tons of overripe tomatoes, has been a fixture on the Spanish calendar only since the late 1950s – Aug 28
