Fans of the Tour de France for bicycles might be surprised to learn that there’s an annual sailing race that occurs around the same time each year. The 41st annual Tour de France à la Voile begins in Dunkirk on the north shore of France and will see 30 sailing crews compete across 7 stages along the coastline, finishing in Nice – July 5 – 21
The 111th annual Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac will see 310 boats take on the best and worst that Lake Michigan will throw at them across the 289-nautical mile race course – July 12
Panerai British Classic Week, the annual Regatta of the British Classic Yacht Club, will set sail for its 18th edition this year in Cowes, England – July 13 – 20
The 4th annual Candy Store Cup Superyacht Regatta returns to Newport, RI. The 3-day event is hosted and organized by Newport Shipyard and Bannister’s Wharf and carries forward the tradition of the Newport Bucket – July 25 – 27

4. Formula One and Other Auto Races in July 2019
The Goodwood Festival of Speed returns for its 26th year. The first Festival, in June 1993, redefined what a car event could be, and, in the years since, it has firmly established itself as the world’s greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture – July 4 – 7
There are two Formula One races in July. The circuit heads to England for the F1 Rolex British Grand Prix at the Silverstone Circuit – July 12 – 14
The second of the Formula One races in July is the F1 German Grand Prix. Held at Hockenheim, this is one of the most atmospheric races of the season. The noise from fans in the stadium section is almost deafening at times – July 26 – 28

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is an annual gathering of aviation enthusiasts held each summer at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The airshow is sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association, an international organization based in Oshkosh, and is the largest of its kind in the world – July 22- 28
