It’s quite possible that the very best part of summertime may be the food and drink. And there is no shortage of either this month.
The best food and drink events in July include the iconic Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island (which is definitely not for the faint of heart). The Singapore Food Festival. The world’s largest food festival, Taste of Chicago. Korea’s Daegu Chicken and Beer (Chimac) Festival. And our personal favorite, the deliciously sweet National Cherry Festival.

1. Food and Wine Festivals in July 2019
The National Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Michigan is a week-long celebration featuring a farmer’s market, 5- and 10-K races, an airshow, and a cherry pancake breakfast. And yes, there will be pie – though July 6
Celebrate the 4th of July in high kitsch style at the annual Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island – maybe don’t eat anything until afterward, though – July 4
