The arrival of summer 2019 means the debut of some great new (and unexpected) collaborations, capsule collections and limited editions. Like summer itself, this season’s offerings are colorful, fun and refreshing. Here’s our roundup of 16 of the best of the summer 2019 luxury collaborations.

1. Re/Done x The Attico
The most buzzed-about luxury collaboration of summer 2019 is LA-based Re/Done’s 21-piece capsule of upcycled vintage apparel with Italian brand Attico. Attico – which translates to penthouse – launched in 2016, inspired by vintage robes and slip dresses. Co-founders and co-designers Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio met Re/Done co-founder Sean Barron at a dinner party in Paris. And an American-Italian alliance was born.
Their mission? To help consumers build “the ability see the beauty in old found dresses and upcycle them; finding something old and making it new.” The first group of pieces is for sale on Re/Done’s website and is also available at select retailers including MatchesFashion.com, Barneys, and Selfridges.
2. Re/Done x Solid + Striped
Re/Done also has a summer collaboration with chic swimsuit line Solid + Striped. The 23-piece vintage-inspired collection features maillots and bikinis, plus tees, shirts and a pair of jeans for apres-swim. They’re priced in the range of $89 for tops and bottoms, $188 for a scuba suit, and $270 for the Beach Jeans.
3. Splendid x Gray Malin
Splendid’s collaboration with fine art photographer Gray Malin has just launched. Inspired by Malin’s iconic aerial photographs, the collection combines bright hues and playful prints with classic Splendid stripes and silhouettes.
4. Orlebar Brown x James Bond
Chic men’s swimwear brand Orlebar Brown has an exclusive collaboration this summer with the James Bond 007 film franchise. Several of the classic films are rendered on swim shorts, including Goldfinger (1964), Skyfall (2012), and Dr. No (1962). There are also cool tops to complete the look.
5. Outdoor Voices x Teva
Last month, activewear brand Outdoor Voices released a Teva collaboration with sandals marked by mismatched, color blocked straps. Within a week, the company said, most sizes had sold out.

This collaboration has already had a sold-out first drop featuring gowns, accessories, and everything in-between. The second drop is due November 7, 2019.
8. Jack Rogers x Wren + Glory
Jack Rogers is teaming up with lifestyle brand Wren + Glory. Both female-run companies pride themselves in their emphasis on sisterhood. The new collection, which will retail for $228, will feature one of a kind hand-painted sneakers. Available starting June 24, 2019 at PopSugar Play/ground and Jackrogersusa.com.
9. H&M x Mantsho
H&M is rolling out its first African collaborative collection, in partnership with South African fashion label Mantsho. Mantsho, which means “black is beautiful” in Sesotho, was created in 2004 by designer Palesa Mokubung. Already well-known in South Africa, this collaboration will introduce the brand in a big way to the rest of the world. The Mantsho collection will be carried in the US, UK, and Western Europe; it will be available in H&M stores and online from August 15, 2019.
10. Slick Woods x The Kooples
Model Slick Woods and The Kooples have teamed up for an exclusive women’s sneaker collection available in stores and online in the U.S. now. Inspired by streetwear, the capsule includes two styles in multiple colorways featuring a utilitarian, sock sneaker detailed with a chunky Velcro strap as well as a chunky lace-up sneaker that drops July 15. Prices range from $325 to $345. The 22-year-old is also the face of the brand’s fall ’19 ad campaign.
11. Ganni x Matches Fashion
Hot Scandinavian brand Ganni has a new capsule collection with British retailer, Matches Fashion. Entitled Sun, Moon & You and draws inspiration from astrology.
12. FENDI x Gentle Monster
Fendi has collaborated with Korean eyewear brand, Gentle Monster. two unisex styles and three colourways each. Gentle Fendi No. 1 rides on the wave of small shapes and bold logos, and features a cat-like shape, while Gentle Fendi No. 2 is a more sporty, oversized frame for those who like a little more coverage. The capsule launches in select Fendi and Gentle Monster boutiques around the world.
13. APC x Suzanne Koller
Paris-based stylist Suzanne Koller, a co-founder of Self Service magazine, has teamed up with her long-time friend Jean Toutou, the founder of A.P.C. The result? A collab featuring wardrobe classics with a fresh spin. Items include a utilitarian coat, a poplin shirt ($250), a cozy sweater, a dress, a poncho and a wool flannel tote ($370) that’s sufficiently large to hold the entire collection. It’s monogrammed with the initials “S.K.,” natch.
14. Stella McCartney x Sheila Hicks
Designer Stella McCartney and textile artist Sheila Hicks have created “wearable sculptures”, including a rubber-band necklace and earrings made from paper clips. Hicks’ work is on exhibit at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas through August 18, 2019.
15. Catherine Opie and Cindy Sherman x LizWorks
Portrait artists Cindy Sherman and Catherine Opie have teamed up with jewelry-maker Liz Swig on a limited-edition line of four pieces called Cameo by LizWorks. There’s a pendant, two rings and a pair of cuff links. Sherman has a major retrospective opening in London on June 27, 2019 at the National Portrait Gallery.
