The air show and sailing seasons are now underway. Lakeside, Florida is the site of the Sun ‘n Fun International Fly-In & Expo. The Qatar Air Show takes off in Doha.

1. Luxury Auto Shows and Supercars
Pagani Hypercars: More ($100) is the first book on the body of work of Horacio Pagani. It includes photographs of many of Pagani’s extreme sportscars; it’s a must-have for passionate enthusiasts – Apr 2
Returning to the Javits Center this month is the New York Auto Show. More than 1,000 cars and trucks, including world debuts and even a few never before seen concepts, are expected to be on display – Apr 19 – 28
2. Collector Car Auctions
New to the European car auction calendar is the RM Sotheby’s Essen event. More than 150 automobiles will be up for sale in Essen, Germany – Apr 11
The treasures of the Tupelo Automobile Museum are now for sale. With the Mississippi museum set to close, every exhibit is up for grabs. From signs and posters to rare vintage motors, with prices ranging from $100 to $2 million, the sale is expected to fetch more than $10 million – Apr 26 – 27
3. Superyacht regattas and yacht shows
The Singapore Yacht Show returns to ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove. It’s an opportunity to discover some of the world’s finest superyachts and international boat brands in a gorgeous setting – Apr 11 – 14
Now in its 10th year, Les Voiles de Saint Barth is expected to welcome some of the biggest names in sailing, as well as a spectacular fleet of more than 70 sailing yachts. In addition to four days of sailing, the event presents a vibrant social program of live music, DJ sets, live art and cocktail parties – Apr 14 – 20
Close to 60 yachts are expected to compete across four days of racing, as seafarers from all over the world gather to share their passion for classic, vintage and traditional yachts at the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta – Apr 17 – 23
The Palma Superyacht Show is expected to attract more than 70 yachts to the Mallorcan capital; it’s a great event for those interested in either a charter or a purchase – Apr 27 – May 1
Now in its 52nd year, Antigua Sailing Week is one of the most popular sailing events in the Caribbean, drawing more than 100 sailing yachts from around the world. Every day there is a different race and a new course. Wednesday is the renowned Lay Day Beach Party – instead of racing, the day is spent at a festive beach party – Apr 27 – May 3
4. Formula One and other Auto Races
The World Touring Car Cup stops in the South of France for the Race of Monaco – Apr 5 – 7
The racing world returns to the Shanghai International Circuit, with its modern track and its stunning architecture, for the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix – Apr 12 – 14
Formula One ends the month in Baku on a layout designed by renowned F1 track architect Hermann Tilke. The historic city center and beautiful seaside promenade provide the perfect backdrop for the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix – Apr 26 – 28
The FIA World Touring Cup Race of Hungary takes place – Apr 26 – 28
5. Air Shows
Lakeland, Florida’s Sun ‘n Fun International Fly-In & Expo is the second largest gathering of aviation enthusiasts in the world. The six-day event features air shows, educational forums and aircraft displays. More than 250,000 people and 3,000 planes will be there – Apr 2 – 7
The global aerospace industry heads to Doha for the Qatar Air Show. Exhibitors will showcase their expertise in civilian, commercial and military aviation – Apr 17 – 20
Flutage Gera takes place every two years in Germany with a show of aerobatic flying displays as well as earthbound aircraft on display – Apr 27 -28
