The Experimental Chalet in Verbier, Switzerland has opened. After you enjoy of day of winter sports, relax and unwind while taking in the panoramic mountain view from your terrace in one of the hotel’s 39 rooms.

The highly-anticipated Four Seasons Athens, nestled on the shores of the Athens Riviera, opens this month in Greece.

Vintry & Mercer is London’s newest luxury boutique hotel. The 92 bespoke rooms and suites draw design inspiration from the historic trading guilds of the City of London and create a unique hideaway in the financial district – Feb 4

After a three-year, $48 million renovation, London’s Belmond Cadogan Hotel reopens this month. The storied hotel is the site of a pied-à-terre where Oscar Wilde once resided (it’s Room 118). First opened in 1887, the historic hotel retains elements of its original Queen Anne design, such as its wood-paneled walls, stained-glass windows, mosaic floors and wood-burning fireplaces.

Set on one of Southern California’s most beautiful beaches, the new Rosewood Miramar Beach features 161 ultra-luxury guestrooms and suites as well as multi-bedroom bungalows. Amenities include a spa, fitness studio, two pools, and six restaurants and bars. Caruso’s is an oceanfront restaurant that also sports an al fresco beach bar, cocktail lounge and casual poolside lounge. – Feb 11

Rosewood Montecito

The team behind the Ace Hotel is at it again. Their new “less is more concept ” is called Sister City, and the first one is opening in New York City. The boutique hotel is a stripped-down retreat from the city outside, filled with simple but fulfilling amenities like Finnish saunas and Japanese bento boxes – Feb 15

The holistic good life of the American South is the focus at Blackberry Mountain in the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee.  The resort offers luxurious accommodations and cuisine, paired with a wide array of fitness and wellness options. Activities include trail running, rock climbing, and mountain biking, as well as scenic platform yoga and creek-side meditation classes.

The long-awaited soft opening of The Conrad in Washington D.C. is happening this month. Located in the heart of the nation’s capital, the hotel features panoramic views of downtown; an open-air rooftop bar; lush outdoor terraces; several restaurants and the exclusive Sakura Club among its amenities.

The 168-room Dream Nashville opens this month. Conveniently located on 4th Avenue North, staying there makes it extra easy to check out the city’s top-notch bars, music and restaurants.

If you’re passing through the Hong Kong airport, and flying Cathay Pacific Airlines, the time you spend in the Business Class lounge before or after your trip can now becomes even more restorative. Created in partnership with the Pure Group, the airline’s new wellness offerings include two sections. First, there’s the Body Sanctuary, where the focus is on yoga. Second, there’s the Mind Sanctuary, which is dedicated to meditation.

LUX* North Male Atoll opens this month with the hopes of reshaping the usual lodging landscape of the Maldives. You won’t find any thatched roofs here. Instead, the resort is filled with dazzling penthouse villas and sky lounges – Feb 1

In Bali, the new Apurva Kempinski is a luxurious haven capturing the essence of Indonesian culture, art and identity. The resort features 475 guestrooms, suites and villas in a quiet beachfront setting – Feb 1

The newly-opened PuXuan Hotel & Spa is only minutes away from the Forbidden City and Beijing’s main commercial and shopping district. Its design is inspired by the culture and character of Beijing, and the property offers uninterrupted views of the Forbidden City.

Golden Eagle Luxury Trains is launching its Darjeeling Mail trip this month from Mumbai.  Passengers will ride aboard the Deccan Odyssey on a stunning journey across Northern India. The dazzling new Kachi Lodge on the Uyuni Salt Flats of Bolivia is the first permanent luxury establishment in this highly-sought after destination. Away has launched a new limited edition collection of luggage. The new Away On View bags feature painted tonal stripes, textured canvas and coordinating color-blocked zippers.
