The speed machines of the air, land and sea will be on display this month in Bahrain, Miami, Gran Canaria, Thailand and Sao Paulo, to name just a few. Highlights include the always-splashy Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the Red Bull Air Race at the Texas Speedway, the RORC Transatlantic Race that closes out the Royal Ocean Club’s racing season and the Bonhams auction of the oldest known example of the 1900 ‘English Mechanic’ 3HP Two Seater. Strap in tight, because it’s gonna be a fast and furiously good one.
Air Expos and Shows:
NAS Airfield in Florida hosts the Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show – Nov 2 – 3
Head to San Bernardino Fest for an air show featuring the Patriots Jet Team as well as a car show featuring vintage military vehicles and motorcycles – Nov 3 – 4
The Bahrain International Air Show takes place this month and is considered the fastest growing air show in the Middle East – Nov 14 – 16
The Lone Star State welcomes back the Red Bull Air Race to the Texas Motor Speedway for the 3rd time, this time hosting the final season showdown – Nov 17 – 18
Yacht Races and Shows:
The 59th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is one of the largest in-water boat shows in the world and takes place in “The Yachting Capital of the World” – Oct 31 – Nov 4

The 37th edition of the CYS BVI Charter Show, presented by the Charter Yacht Society of the British Virgin Islands, returns to the Caribbean island of Tortola; a fleet of around 75 charter yachts are in the harbor for four days of viewings, broker lunches and evening yacht hops – Nov 6 – 9
Presenting a stunning range of the firm’s most beautiful bespoke designs from sea, air, and land, Winch Design ($175) brings readers aboard some of the world’s most exclusive, and elusive, examples of design in motion—from spectacular superyachts to plush private jets and serene holiday homes—a splendid excursion in sumptuous design – Nov 7
The 31st edition of the annual charity event Miami Yacht Rendezvous will be held on Fisher Island, Miami; the three-day event will include fundraising, social functions, and a glittering line-up of superyachts and proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County – Nov 8 – 10
The annual Atlantic Rally for Cruisers departs Gran Canaria for Saint Lucia – Nov 11
Billed as ‘a boat show for boat lovers’, the Ocean Marina Pattaya Boat Show will return to Thailand for its 7th year – Nov 19 – Dec 2
The Athens Boat Show is at the Olympic Fencing Center and will feature products and services for marine recreation, extreme sports and marine tourism – Nov 22 – 26
Crew from all over the world will compete in the annual RORC Transatlantic Race which sets off from Marina Lanzarote, Arrecife. The 3,000 nautical mile-long race to Grenada is the final challenge in the Royal Ocean Racing Club’s 2018 calendar – Nov 24
Auto Races:
The Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos in Sao Paulo is the penultimate F1 race of the year – Nov 11
The Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final race of the season, is on the spectacular Yas Island at the Yas Marina Circuit; with the track wrapping itself around the island’s glamorous marina, there’ll be a plethora of yachts on view – Nov 23-25

Luxury Auto Shows and Auctions:
Bonhams will offer the oldest known example of the 1900 ‘English Mechanic’ 3HP Two Seater, a highly unusual motor car that was designed as a ‘build it yourself’ vehicle with assembly instructions that were published each week in the English Mechanic in January 1900 – Nov 2
The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show is one of the largest classic car shows; held every year at the NEC in Birmingham, the event features over 2,000 classic cars, 300 classic motorbikes and hundreds of trade stands. The UK’s biggest car clubs attend, there are restoration demos and a two day auction – Nov 9 – 11
The Seattle International Auto Show is at the CenturyLink Field Event Center – Nov 9 – 12
The 61st annual San Francisco International Auto Show will be held at the Moscone Center and feature 2018 model cars, trucks, SUV’s and crossover vehicles representing the work of 37 global manufacturers, plus exhibits from the Ferrari Club of America and the Aston Martin Club – Nov 21 – 25
The Milano AutoClassica Winter Edition at the Fiera Milano Rho celebrates car culture, including commercial opportunities among collectors of unique vehicles; a classic car auction; and displays of vintage, contemporary and concept cars – Nov 23 – 25
