From the air to the ocean to the roadways, October is fast and furious. You’ll find air shows in Australia, Marrakech and Spain, as well as yacht races and shows in Malta, Miami and Long Island. On the track, F1 stops by Japan, the US and Mexico; on the road, its the 70th anniversary auction for Porsche and the annual auto show in Paris. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

San Francisco Fleet Week takes place – Oct 1 – 8
Maryland Fleet Week and Air Show Baltimore celebrates the maritime traditions of the Chesapeake Bay. The USAF Thunderbirds’ jets and other aircraft will be on display on the Martin State Airport tarmac and in the skies over Fort McHenry and Middle Branch – Oct 3 -9
The National WWII Museum, The Commemorative Air Force, and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation invite you to WWII Air, Sea & Land Festival in New Orleans – Oct 12 – 14
Warbirds Down Under is the largest gathering of Warbird Aircraft in Australia – Oct 12 – 13

Desfile de la Fiesta Nacional de España is a National Day in Spain, when the King and the military history of the country is honored. The day includes a land and air parade, as well as paratrooper jumping – Oct 12
The Spirit of St. Louis Air Show will feature the Canadian CF-18 demo team. Also joining the event for the first time will be the USAF F-16 Viper Demonstration Team – Oct 13 – 14
Visitors attending the Marrakech Air Show will have the opportunity to see various flying displays performed by experienced Moroccan and foreign pilots – Oct 24 – 27

The 38th annual William K. Vanderbilt II Memorial Cup Race takes place at the Centerport Yacht Club in Long Island – Oct 6
The 57th annual Columbus Day Regatta will feature nearly 300 different crews and is the oldest event on Biscayne Bay – Oct 8
The 59th Hamburg International Boat Show is at the Hamburg Fair Ground and Hanseboot Harbor. The trade fair showcases all aspects of water sports in a stylish setting – Oct 17 – 21
The 39th Rolex Middle Sea Race in Malta marks the race’s 50th birthday – Oct 20

Auto Races:
The F1 Japanese Grand Prix was first held in 1987 – this year marks the 30th time that the Suzuka International Racing Course will host the event – Oct 7
The season finale at the Shuttleworth Collection of historic aircraft and automobilia celebrates founder Richard’s Shuttleworth’s passion for racing, veteran cars and vintage aviation. The Shuttleworth Sprint is a ‘classic’ sprint course along a grass runway – Oct 7
Lombard Rally in Bath, Somerset is a celebration of the classic era of rallying, taking place on part of the route of the 1976 Lombard RAC Rally in historic rally cars – Oct 19 – 21
At the F1 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, Bruno Mars and Britney Spears will perform full concerts after the end of track activity at COTA’s Super Stage Festival Lawn – Oct 21
