Yacht shows and races head to Europe this month, with major shows in Cannes, Genoa and Monaco, and races in Sardinia and Saint Tropez. In the UK, September will see the Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar show and the latest RM Sotheby’s auction.
Elsewhere, F1 makes stops in Italy, Russia and Singapore. There’s plenty of action stateside, too, with the National Championship Air Races in Reno, the Newport International Boat Show, the New England Grand Classic, and The Bridge closing out the Hamptons summer season.
Air Expos and Shows:
Taking place at Glasgow Prestwick Airport, the Scottish International Airshow offers the best flying displays in all of Scotland – Sept 1 – 2

The National Championship Air Races celebrates 55 years of racing and air shows. The Reno, Nevada-based event features six racing classes, a display of static aircraft and flight demonstrations – Sept 12 – 16
The Africa Aerospace and Defence Expo combines both a trade exhibition and an air show – Sept 19 – 23
This year marks the 7th annual Athens Flying Week – Sept 22 – 23
“100 Years of Women in the Marine Corps” is the theme for this year’s MCAS Miramar Air Show, honoring the sacrifices made by the brave women and men in the service. It’s the largest military air show in the US, taking place in Reno, Nevada – Sept 28 – 30
Yacht Races and Shows:
Europe’s first and biggest show of the boating season, Cannes Yachting Festival, brings major players in pleasure yachting together to show their newest models and launch the show season. More than 600 boats will be displayed with opportunities to try out some of the finest yachts in the world – Sept 11 – 16

The Newport International Boat Show at Bowen’s Wharf is one of the largest boat shows in the US and features both powerboats and sailboats – Sept 13 – 16
The 7th edition of the prestigious Perini Navi Cup returns to the beautiful waters of Porto Cervo, Sardinia – Sept 19 – 22
Head to Italy for the 58th Genoa International Boat Show where two marinas will display more than 500 boats in this floating show – Sept 20 – 25
The Monaco Yacht Show is a glittering showcase for the super yacht industry, attracting more than 500 exhibitors and industry influencers. In addition to the exhibition of more than 120 vessels, 40 new launches will be unveiled, and there will be parties galore – Sept 26 – 29

The annual Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez returns and is a week-long event of competitive yacht racing and social events bringing 300+ yachts and 4000 sailors to the French Riviera to compete for the Rolex Trophy – Sept 29 – Oct 7
Auto Races:
The Italian F1 Grand Prix returns to Monza, Italy – Sept 3

Goodwood Revival is a three-day festival in the UK celebrating the halcyon days of motor racing, with the accompanying glamour of the 1940s-60s (period dress optional). This year marks the 20th anniversary of the festival – Sept 7 – 9
The Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix is the only night race in all of Formula 1 and takes place on the streets of Marina Bay downtown – Sept 16
The racing world heads to Sochi for the Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix – Sept 30
Luxury Auto Shows and Auctions:
Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar Show returns to Woodstock, Oxfordshire. One of the highlights will be the Pirelli Prestige & Performance Competition, featuring 80 supercars and hypercars built between 1978 and now, split into eight classes of 10 groundbreaking cars – Sept 2

Known for its electric atmosphere and specializing in everything from imposing Edwardians to modern supercars, RM Sotheby’s London Auction is one of the most successful sales on the European calendar. The event is held at Battersea Park in Central London – Sept 4 – 5
The Classic Car Club of America hosts its New England Grand Classic at the Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich, MA – Sept 8
Returning for its third year is The Bridge, an art and classic car show at The Bridge golf club in Bridgehampton, NY – Sept 14 – 16

The Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung is the world’s largest motor show; this year’s event focuses on commercial vehicles – Sept 20 – 27
The Manhattan Classic Car Club is heading to Nürburgring and Spa Francorchamps this month to conquer these two iconic tracks – Sept 29
