If you’re hungry for delicious adventures, your time is now. From Sonoma to Tuscany, Denmark to Bangkok, there are wonderful events all over the world this month. Closer to home for us, there’s the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest and the Greenwich Food + Wine Festival, while our travel-worthy international picks include the Rioja Wine Harvest Festival, the Fête de la Gastronomie, and Oktoberfest in Munich.
Head to London over Labor Day weekend for Meatopia, a festival of high quality, ethically sourced meat – all cooked over ethically-sourced wood and charcoal by some of the world’s leading chefs – through Sept 2
The annual Taste of Sonoma kicks off the month with wine and food tastings, lectures, music and more – Sept 1
Food and drink take center stage in Bangkok with a week of special dinners, tastings and masterclasses at the World Gourmet Festival – Sept 3 – 9

The Chianti Classico Festival returns to the town of Greve in Tuscany – Sept 6 – 9
The Buda Castle Terraces are home to the annual Budapest International Wine Festival. This annual fest presents award winning Hungarian wines as well as many other international picks too – Sept 6 – 9
Set in the beautiful harbour of Denmark’s second largest city, Aarhus Food Festival is considered the largest food festival in Denmark and even the largest in Northern Europe – Sept 7 – 9
Now in it’s 17th year, the Hudson Valley Wine & Food Fest is an annual celebration of the Hudson Valley’s gourmet lifestyle. Located in Rhinebeck, NY on the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, guests can purchase wines, spirits, and craft beers directly from the producers themselves – Sept 8 – 9
The James Beard Foundation’s Celebrity Chef Tour dinner stops at three cities this month (Boulder, CO, Calabasas, CA and Melbourne, FL) and bringing a taste of what happens at the James Beard House in New York City to more than 20 cities across the country each year – Sept 8, 13 and 30
In the cookbook Roots, Britain’s youngest Michelin-starred chef shares over 100 unique seasonal recipes from his family farm and pub, as well as stories and ideas about growing, foraging and preserving food too – Sept 11
The Bourbon Capital of the World will host The Kentucky Bourbon Festival giving bourbon lovers 6 full days of bourbon tasting, delicious food, great entertainment and events for all ages – Sept 12 – 16
Bon Appétit presents the Northwest food and drink festival Feast Portland. Since its inception, the festival has donated close to $400,000 to help end hunger in Oregon and across the country. In 2018, Feast will support two worthy hunger causes – Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon and Urban Gleaners – Sept 13 – 16
Nashville hosts the Music City Food + Wine Festival. Celebrity chefs Andrew Zimmern, Anne Burrell and Carla Hall and more will partake in the events. Other highlights include the harvest night and gospel brunch – Sept 14 – 16
Fulton Market Harvest Fest brings together some of Chicago’s finest culinary talent for three days of pop-up dinners, food and beverage classes, cooking demonstrations, craft beer tastings and live music, celebrating the city’s fantastic culinary culture – Sept 14 – 16
Toronto Beer Week takes place – Sept 14 – 22
Returning for its 102nd year to West Springfield, MA is The Big E. Known as The Eastern States Exposition, it is the largest agricultural event on the eastern seaboard and the seventh largest fair in the nation – Sept 14 – 30
The Rioja Wine Harvest Festival brings thousands of wine enthusiasts together to drink hundreds of gallons of some of Spain’s best wines. Red, white and rosé wines are combined with regional cuisine and tapas for this Spanish festival in the capital of the Rioja region – Sept 15 – 22
Ritz Paris is a celebration of the grand culinary tradition at the Ritz Paris features inspirational stories of three great men and is completed with sixty recipes – Sept 18
Sotheby’s presents its Collection of Perfection sale – Sept 19
The Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival will feature hundreds of wines on the lawn of Marble House for the Grand Tasting, in addition to celebrity chef appearances, cooking demonstrations, dinners and VIP events throughout the weekend. This years special guest is designer and cookbook author Zac Posen – Sept 20 – 23
Now entering its 12th year, Terra Madre Salone del Gusto returns to Torino. The event is considered the flagship Slow Food biennial event and concentrates on the culture and ethics of food – Sept 20 – 24
Greenwich Wine + Food Festival is a multi-day event celebrating this area’s rich culinary landscape. This year’s event will honor Alex Guarnaschelli and will feature a performance by Tim McGraw. The event benefits multiple charitable organizations, including the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and the Greenwich Parks & Recreation Fund – Sept 21 – 22
Fête de la Gastronomie in Paris is France’s annual food festival, offering culinary events like cooking classes and tastings from top restaurants to celebrate the gastronomy of France – Sept 21 – 23
In Spain, food, culture and music are synonymous and at Barcelona’s La Mercè this is no exception. This annual festival dates back to 1871, when it was first deemed an official city holiday honoring The Roman Catholic feast day of Our Lady Mercy – Sept 21 – 24
Every September and October Munich is home to one of the world’s largest fairs, Oktoberfest. This year’s event will be bigger than ever, with 545 separate businesses partaking and over 13,000 employees to assist with the 6 million guests – Sept 22 – Oct 7
Cassia Co-Owners Kim Luu-Ng and Chef Bryant Ng are hosting the third LA Chefs for Human Rights fundraising dinner, benefiting The People Concern, at their acclaimed Southeast Asian brasserie in Santa Monica – Sept 24
