How to Take a Luxury Cruise and not Gain Weight

Is it actually possible to take a 10-day luxury cruise without returning 10 pounds heavier? We asked ourselves this pressing question as we prepared for our first-ever cruise, aboard the Regent Seven Seas Explorer. We knew that the ship was renowned for its luxuriousness, and we’d been warned by friends and family that we’d be surrounded by food and drink 24/7. Sure, the first couple of days might be OK. But TEN? That required some planning and thought. So as we packed our suitcases, we made some health and wellness plans. We just returned from our voyage, and we’re happy to share the answer to our query. Yes, dear reader, you can have a huge amount of fun on a cruise and not gain weight. Here’s how.

The Best of the Red Carpet from the Oscars 2018

What a wonderful night at the Academy Awards 2018! Genuine support and affection among many of those nominated; provocative films that told the stories of all kinds of people across space and time; inspirational montages throughout the show; and a more diverse group of winners than ever. Jordan Peele wins his first Oscar, Frances McDormand acknowledges all of the women in the room nominated for any award, and challenges those with money and power to work with them to create brilliant new works. Jimmy Kimmel does a fine job balancing comedy and sincerity. And Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway get a do-over at presenting the award for Best Picture and get it right this time. It was a feel-good night, nicely done. But what about the clothes? They were relaxed, authentic and happy, just like the rest of the evening.
